By Mr. E. Bates

Let the windmill giants come.
My breath of life is noble quest.
As I think smart while acting dumb.
And seek the gold within the chest.

The sweet one’s love restores my youth.
Though nothing but a common girl.
Life’s greatest lie becomes the truth.
Let beauty grace an ugly world.

The dog a sane man will beware,
Is one worth chasing to the death.
As she becomes a lady fair.
And sweet perfume her garlic breath.

Just like the cat that lost eight lives,
To value one without replace.
The harem choice of many wives.
One thousand ships sunk by her face.

While right now we are very few.
Not much more than one or two.
Who see the world through starstruck eyes.
And know that one must live to die.
